SPOKE TENSION AND WHEEL TRUENESS
Spoke tension is fully adjusted in our factory. After a period of use, and depending on the type of rider, riding
conditions and wheel maintenance, spoke tension may need readjusting. This is best done with your local
retailer.
IMPORTANT : To avoid permanent, irreparable
damage to your rim, spoke tension must not exceed
that of the original factory assembly.
Note that due to the high spoke tension on the
cassette side of the rear wheel, loosening and
tightening the nipples is a delicate procedure.
TRANSPORT AND STORAGE
Always carry your wheels in the protective bags
provided for this purpose, and protect them from any
impacts, knocks and bumps.
Avoid exposing your wheels to high temperatures (in
direct sunlight, behind car windows, on a bike rack
too close to an exhaust pipe, etc.).
Over winter, store your wheels in a dry place and
reassemble the axles before your first ride at the
beginning of the cycling season.
Never hang your bike from the rim or spokes.

REAR WHEEL TENSION : Do not exceed 130 kg
for spokes on the cassette side.
FRONT WHEEL TENSION : Do not exceed 130 kg
for spokes on the brake rotor side.
The lifespan of LOOK wheels depends on your
riding frequency, intensity and conditions.
Under normal use and maintenance conditions, and
if not subjected to excessive impacts or strain, our
wheels will continue to perform according to their
technical specifications for several years beyond
the contractual warranty period. However, we
recommend that our clients replace their wheels
every 5 years.
Some components such as bearings, valves, rim
tape and spokes are considered consumable parts,
to which the contractual warranty does not apply.
Spoke tension and trueness are not covered by
warranty.
Legal warranty
LOOK, through its authorized retailers
distributors in the country in which the product
is purchased, warrants all products against non-
conformities and hidden defects (1) for a period of 2
(two) years from the date purchase.
(1) Hidden defects only concern French legislation,
§ Articles 1641 to 1649 of the French Civil Code.
(2) Several countries or states allow a longer
period for implicit warranty, and/or for the exclusion
or restriction of direct or consequential damage,
implying that the above-mentioned period does
not apply. This limited warranty offers the Customer
specific legal rights, as well as other potential rights,
which may vary according to local laws.
LIFESPAN
We recommend you have your wheels and rims
annually inspected by an authorized LOOK retailer.
They will assess their condition, wear and the
reliability of the rims.
How often checks and services are carried out
depends on the frequency and intensity of use. Our
team is happy to advise you if you use your wheels
intensively.
If any part of your wheel should show signs of wear
or fatigue, it must be replaced immediately.
