The report form includes the following sections:
#1 - GENERAL INFORMATION
Specify the serial numbers of the alternator and
of the AVR (*). The serial number and the part
number of the AVR are specified in a label
affixed on the AVR plastic support. The User
must also provide additional information, like
the failure date, the site and the AVR operating
time.
#2 - VISUAL / MULTI-METER CHECKS
The User must perform a visual inspection of the
AVR and all the electrical checks described in
the following pages. If the result of any check is
positive, tick the relevant box. If the result is
negative, leave the box blank.
#3 - DETECTED PROBLEMS
Select one or more options from the possible
failure
mode
list.
Also
add
any
further
information about the failure, if available. In this
section the User must describe what is detected
during the user alternator test.
#4 - ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Enter here a description of the application
and/or any additional information helping to define the operating conditions under which the
failure occurred.
Attach some photos of the alternator, of the regulator and/or of the damaged parts to the report
form.
