DESCRIpTION
Molecular sieve desiccant dryers are designed to lower the dew point of compressed air.
They consist of a specially engineered filter housing filled with molecular sieve desiccant
through which air passes. As the air passes across the molecular sieve desiccant, moisture
is adsorbed into the pores of the molecular sieve, reducing the moisture content (dew point)
of the outlet air. Once the desiccant reaches a level of saturation that causes the outlet
dew point to rise above an acceptable level, the desiccant can be replaced. Refer to the
maintenance section for instructions.
