Turn the engine only in the normal direction of rotation (clockwise unless otherwise specified)
•
Do not use locking tools for camshaft and crankshaft as a counter-holder, during loosening or
tightening screws on pulley, camshaft or crankshaft. This can damage tools and engine
components. Only use tools that are suitable for this purpose.
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION
Recycle unwanted materials instead of disposing of them as waste. Packaging should be
sorted, taken to a recycling centre and disposed of in a manner which is compatible with
the environment. Contact your local solid waste authority for recycling information. Dispose
of this product at the end of its working life environmentally.
USE
Use this tool to hold the Crankshaft Pulley Flange during loosening the
pulley flange centre bolt.
Note: Do not release the pulley flange centre bolt during the camshaft
and crankshaft timing tools are in place.
Always use the counterholder during loosen the centre bolt.
Use this tool to adjust the injector pump wheel.
Fine adjustment of the injection pump must be made with special tools
and by turning the injection pump.
The tool is used to adjust the camshafts.
Turn the camshaft until one side of the tool rests on the sealing
surface.
Measure the clearance between the tool and the sealing surface with
the feeler gauge on the opposite side.
Aligning the camshaft so that feeler gauge fits with half clearance on
both sides between ruler and sealing surface.
Crankshaft locking tool (5) is used to adjust and hold the crankshaft in
the adjustment position.
Set crankshaft to TDC 1st cylinder in power stroke.
Remove the plug from the engine block.
Insert the crankshaft locking tool (5) in place of the plug,
make sure the tool is inserted correctly.
