▪ When the cutting blade locks or the cutting work is
interrupted for any reason, immediately release the
"ON/OFF" switch and keep the saw still on the workpiece
until the blade stops completely;
▪ Never pull the saw backwards or try to take it out of the
workpiece while the blade is moving, otherwise you may
lose control of the saw;
▪ To prevent any displacement of the workpiece, use fixing
devices or a workbench to ensure that the work is
performed safely. Place and keep the workpiece in the
correct and secure position;
▪ Make sure that the ventilation grids are not obstructed
during operation. Do not insert any objects into the
ventilation grids;
▪ The cutting blades may become too hot during
operation. Avoid touching them, they may burn;
▪ Make sure you do not damage electrical circuits, gas and
water pipes when working with the tool. Any damage to
these elements may cause fire, explosion, electric shock
or material damage;
▪ Avoid using the tool on surfaces coated with paints that
contain lead or other materials harmful to health.
Contact with or inhalation of dust may cause allergy
reactions and/or respiratory diseases.
Remove the battery from the power tool before start
cleaning, adjustment, repair or maintenance work.
Replace worn out or damaged parts immediately so that the
power tool is always operational and in a safe operating
condition.
Cleaning
Always keep the power tool clean and dry, free of oil, grease
and lubricants. Clean all components and accessories of
the power tool after use.
Do not use strong cleaning agents. These products can
damage plastics and metals and impair the safe operation
of your power tool.
Maintenance work
Maintenance work may only be carried out as described in
these operating instructions, all other work must be carried
out by an official dealer.
Keep all nuts and screws well tighten so that the power tool
can operate safely.
If components or safety devices are removed for
maintenance work, they must be replaced correctly
immediately.
Use only blades or attachable accessories authorized by
VITO for this power tool or technically identical parts.
Otherwise, injury or damage to the power tool may occur. In
case of doubt or if you lack the necessary knowledge and
means, you should contact an official dealer.
Your cordless reciprocating saw should only be serviced by
the manufacturer's internal service personnel, or other
qualified personnel, replacing any necessary parts with
original parts sourced directly from the manufacturer.
1. Insert the battery into the fitting placed in the handle (7)
and press the battery until you hear the "click noise" of
the battery lock/unlock button (9). At this point the
battery is completely secured;
2. To remove, press the Battery lock/unlock button and pull
out the battery.
For best results, make sure the battery is fully charged
before using it.
Only use VITO 20V lithium batteries.
1. Place the battery in the charger as if you placed it in the
reciprocating saw;
2. Plug the charger plug into the socket and let it charge.
Sometimes at the end of charging, both the battery and the
charger may be hot, which does not mean that they are
malfunctioning.
Allow the battery to cool down before putting it in the
machine.
