TROUBLESHOOTING
No.
Problem
The system doesn`t work.
1.
The system works OK.
2.
The system doesn`t work.
3.
The system works OK,
but the voltages measured
4.
to the ATA connectors are
lower than 11 Vd.c.
+14 V – GND < 11 V
The call from the
outdoor panel (APA)
doesn`t function.
5.
U = 0V or 5V
CD
The terminal (ATA)
doesn`t ring when
6.
called from the
outdoor panel (APA).
There is a disturbing
noise during talk on the
7.
terminal (ATA).
The other features are OK.
SCU signals
Possible causes
The system has NO power supply from
S1
the 230 Va.c./ 50 Hz network and there
PROG
is no battery connected to the SCU.
S1 green
System OK.
PROG
S1 red
Short circuit between +14V and GND.
PROG
Only 1 wire connected on +14V
and GND terminals, instead of 2
S1 green
wires, as shown in the connection
PROG
diagram.
The CD connection could be:
- incorrectly connected or in short
circuit with +14V or GND.
S1 green
- interrupted or not connected to
PROG blinking
APA, (ACB), SCU or ATA.
red
APA is not programmed with
address 1.
The CD connection may be interrupted
between SCU, (ACB) and ATA.
S1 green
ATA is not programmed with the correct
address.
PROG
The terminal (ATA) doesn`t
signal with [ ] when the keyboard is
touched.
The GND connections are not OK
(not tight enough).
S1 green
PROG
The cable used has more wires than
UTP cat5e (AWG24), which is
recommended for installation.

Potential solutions
Check the power supply of SCU from
the 230 Va.c./ 50 Hz network or the
fuses status. Check FUSE on the
entry in SCU.
Check the connections between +14V
and GND. Correct any errors.
The 2nd wire must be connected
to +14V or GND, as shown in
the connection diagram.
Check CD everywhere in the
system and correct any errors.
Program APA with address 1, see the
procedure (ch. 6.4.2.). If additional panels
are installed, they must be programmed
with different address – 2, 3 or 4.
Check CD connection of SCU, (ACB) and
ATA and the continuity of the wire.
Correct any errors.
Program ATA with the correct address,
see the procedure (ch. 6.5.3.).
Check +14, GND connections of SCU,
(ACB) and ATA and the continuity of
the wire. Correct any errors.
Check the GND connections of APA,
(ACB), SCU and ATA. Firmly tighten the
wires in the connector.
The wires remained free, including the
shield wire, will be connected only to
the GND connector of SCU (5 wires
in GND).
