Symptom
The midspan does
not power up

Corrective action
Unplug and then re-plug the midspan's power
cable and check the power LED indicator status
during the power-up sequence.
Verify that the power inlet voltage is between
100–240 V AC.
Verify that the power inlet cable is
intact/functional.
Verify that the remote device is designed for PoE
operation.
Verify that the remote device is connected to
the midspan's DATA PWR OUT port using a
standard STP CAT5 or higher, straight-wired
network cable with four pairs.
If an external power splitter is in use, verify that
it works.
Verify that there is no short circuit on any of the
twisted pair cables or RJ45 connectors.
If possible, connect the remote device to a
different midspan.
