PSU, Dell Networking highly recommends using two PSUs for full redundancy and additional cooling. To avoid overheating when the switch is running with only a single PSU, Dell Networking recommends using PSU1 (on the left when facing the PSU side) and covering the second PSU slot opening (PSU2) with a blank plate.
Page 22
NOTE: Ensure that the PSU is correctly installed. When you correctly install the PSU, the power connector is on the right side of the PSU. NOTE: Dell Networking recommends supplying power from the switch PSU to the external power source only after the chassis is mounted in a rack or cabinet.
