3.4.6
When the displayed value comes to a standstill, use the upper calibration screw (Fig. 2)
to correct the "pH 7.00 Adjust" until the display reads exactly pH 7.00.
3.4.7
Remove the pH electrode from the buffer solution and rinse with deionised water.
3.4.8
Now fully immerse the pH electrode into the measuring jug with buffer solution pH 4.65
down to the bottom of the jug.
3.4.9
When the displayed value comes to a standstill, use the lower calibration screw (Fig. 2)
to correct the "pH 4.65 Slope Adjust" until the display reads exactly pH 4.65.
3.4.10 Remove the pH electrode from the buffer solution and rinse with deionised water.
3.4.11 Repeat steps 5 to 10 again if necessary to correct minimum deviations in the measurement.
3.4.3. Press the OFF button (Fig. 1, 3) to switch off the pH hand-held meter.
3.4.13 Do not use the pH buffer solutions contained in the small measuring jugs again
and dispose of correctly.
(Request DIN safety data sheets)
3.5 Taking measurements
3.5.1. Press the ON button to switch on the pH hand-held meter.
3.5.2
Carefully remove the electrode protective cap from the pH electrode and store in a safe
place. Leave the KCl solution in the protective cap.
3.5.3
Immerse the pH electrode approx. 2 cm into the solution being measured and record the
measured value when the display stops.
3.5.4
Press the HOLD button (Fig.1, 4) to freeze the measured value in the display. "HOLD" will
then appear in the display. To release the HOLD function, press the HOLD button again.
3.5.5
After taking a measurement, rinse the electrode with distilled water and carefully
replace the electrode protective cap with KCl solution.
3.6 Changing the battery
The "
'" symbol in the left-hand corner of the display indicates that the battery needs
changing. However, accurate measurements may still be taken for several hours after the
"low battery" symbol first appears.
Remove the protective cover before replacing the battery. (Fig.3)
To replace the battery, remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the pH hand-
held meter.
Remove the 9V block-type battery and insert the replacement battery. Ensure the polarity is
correct!
Then replace the battery compartment cover and re-fit the protective cover.
