OPERATING AND MAINTENANCE MANUAL
SUBMERSIBLE HYDRAULICS 4ST SERIES
PROBLEMS
The unit works but
does not draw water.
Thermal protection is
bypassed.
The protection is trigge-
red and the fuses are
blown.
Tampering with the unit by unauthorised personnel may invalidate the warranty. If in doubt, consult
Proindecsa or your nearest Authorised Service Centre, always indicating the pump model, installation
data and any other useful information.

POSIBLES RAZONES
1. The check valve is stuck.
2. The dynamic level of the well is below
the suction. In this case, the consumption
is lower than nominal.
1. Phase failure.
2. Low voltage and, therefore, increased
consumption.
3. Incorrect calibration of the thermal
protection.
4. Ambient temperature above 20ºC.
5. The pump is clogged, increasing the
consumption.
6. The pump is out of curve and there is
an increase in consumption.
1. There is a bad connection.
2. The motor winding is earthed.
SOLUTION
1. Remove the unit and check it.
2. Adjust the water extraction from the
well and install a dry running protection to
prevent breakdowns.
1. Check the voltage to all three phases
and the overload fuses.
2. Check the voltage supplied by the line
or, if applicable, the generator.
Check that the cable cross-section is
adequate.
3. Recalibrate the protector to the proper
rating.
4. If possible, move the unit to a cooler
location. If not, increase the relay
calibration.
5. The unit may be clogged by excessive
sand. In this case reversing 2 phases may
clear the blockage.
6. Adjust the outlet valve.
1. Check all wiring.
2. Check with ammeter.
3. Alternatively, remove the unit and send it
to an official service centre for inspection.
