INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS AND RECOMMENDATIONS
•
Please read the list of components and instructions BEFORE assembly.
•
Remove all parts from the packaging and lay them out carefully on a clean work surface. This will allow you to
familiarize yourself with the different elements and to inspect for missing parts, defects or damage due to shipping.
•
In the unlikely event you receive unusable materials, please take note that the product warranty does not cover labor.
Once you install or alter a component (cut, ripped, routed, screwed, etc.) it cannot be returned.
•
Since Fiberwood's limited warranty does not apply to improper shed installation, assemble all parts according to the
instructions published by Fiberwood and do not skip any steps.
•
Fiberwood recommends that you always use and wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment: hearing protection, safety
glasses, work gloves...) during shed assembly or any type of maintenance work.
•
Be careful when handling parts with metal edges.
•
Never walk on or place objects on the shed wall boards prior to the assembly. They are not designed for that purpose
and could be damaged by doing so.
•
At least two people are required to assemble the shed.
•
Allow sufficient space around the perimeter of the shed to have access from the outside during assembly.
•
You need to get a tube of 100% transparent silicone sealant.
CARE, MAINTENANCE AND SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Q This shed was designed as a storage area, not a dwelling. Although it is perfectly suited for use as a pool house, for
example, it is not meant to be a permanent residence.
Q Fiberwood recommends that you do the same regular inspections and maintenance as any other building.
Q Avoid using lawnmowers, trimmers or edgers directly against the shed.
Q To clean the shed, start by rinsing it with a garden hose. Then you can use a soft-bristled brush with warm soapy
water
Q We recommend using plastic based snow and ice removal tools in a timely manner and to use an organic salt-free ice
melter.
Q Do not paint, stain or apply other coating materials or any other chemical substances, including detergents or
pesticides to the shed.
Q Clean oil or grease spills as soon as possible and at the latest within seven days. Start by rinsing with a garden hose
and use warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. If that's not enough, you can use recommended cleaners for
composites, and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully.
Q Do not store any hot objects in the shed, such as recently used grills or blowtorches, or any volatile chemicals.
Q Do not lean heavy objects against the shed, as it could deform the entire structure.
Q Keep the roof free of snow and accumulated foliage. Large amounts of snow can damage the shed and jeopardize its
structural integrity.
Q Avoid violent storm winds and gusts from entering the shed by keeping the doors closed and locked.
Q If mold develops, you can scrub the area with warm soapy water and a soft-bristled brush. If that's not enough, test
recommended cleaners for mold in an inconspicuous area first and follow the manufacturer's instructions carefully
thereafter if the results of the test are satisfactory.
