bottom. Record the serial number in the space
provided below. Refer to these numbers whenever
you call upon your Sony dealer regarding this

1 Connect the AC plug to a wall outlet.
2 Set the POWER switch to ON.
The POWER lamp lights green.
3 Play back a tape on the video equipment.
Refer to the instruction manual of the video
equipment.
4 Adjust the projecting angle.
@ Set the PROJECTION LOCK switch up.
© Adjust the lens angle.
© Set the PROJECTION LOCK switch to LOCK.
5 Adjust the picture.
Adjust the focus by turning the FOCUS ring. [a]
Adjust the brightness with the PICTURE control.

Press WIDE to select the picture mode between the
normal mode and the wide mode*. [c]
The WIDE lamp lights red when the wide mode is
selected.
6 Adjust the volume by pressing VOLUME +/-.
The display indicates for about 5 seconds on the
screen after the button is pressed.
* In the wide mode, the hight of the picture is
shortened and the picture is compressed in the
vertical direction. The ratio of hight to width of the
picture becomes 9:16.
To enjoy a clearer picture
¢ Place the unit so as to make the lens perpendicular to
a projected plane, otherwise the picture becomes
distorted and may be out of focus.
¢ Use the unit in a dark place so that the picture is
projected clearly.
* Do not subject the projected plane to direct light such
as a room light.
¢ The brightness of picture differs in accordance with
the quality of surface of a wall or screen and size of
the projected plane. Adjust the brightness
accordingly with the PICTURE control.
¢ In adjusting the height, an optional Sony tripod is
recommended.
Caution
Be sure to use the house current as a power source of
your projector to prevent damage and accidents.
Never use a DC/AC converter.
Notes
¢ If the picture does not appear for more than five
minutes, the power is turned off. To turn on the power
again, set the POWER switch to OFF and then ON.
* Be sure to disconnect the AC plug from a wall outlet
when not using this unit.
¢ While projecting, the corners of a picture may be dark.
¢ There is a fanin the unit for protection from dust and
heat. When using the unit, the sound of the fan motor
can be heard.
This is not malfunction.
