This section descr ibes the machine ' s safety equipment,
its purpose, and how checks and maintenance should be

Carria ge lock
The carr iage lock is used when replacing the drill bit and
mounting the drill motor. The lock consists of a knob that
locks the carriage to the drill column.
Carria ge lock inspection
• Turn the knob to lock it.
• Feel by hand that the carriage is locked to the drill
column.
