To search the start of the previous selection press
<<prev (2).

To search the start of the next selection press
next>> (6).
e —_ If one of these search keys is pressed several times,
for example three times, the third selection before
or after the current tape position is searched.
This search functions correctly only if the cassette
has a mute section of approx. 4 seconds between
each selection.

Recording on tape
For making recordings on cassette tape there is a special
RECORD menu.
The following recording sources can be selected:
-Tuner => press the tuner (16) key.
-CD player => press the cd (17) key.
-AUX, i.e. from source connected to the AUX IN
R,L sockets => press the aux (19) key.
Example: Recording from the evolution CD player

First select the recording source:
=> In this case press the CD (17) key:

Ready the CD player: Press pause (1) and then
play (5).
=> The CD player is now in pause mode at the start
of the first track.

Press rec (14). The following menu is displayed:

Calibrating the cassette
To achieve optimum recording quality the automatic
alignment process
should
be activated
before the
recording is started.

Press the align (7) key.
Test signals will be recorded on the tape. On completion
of the alignment process which takes approx. |6seconds
(display shows: auto align), the tape is rewound. VVhen
the process is completed, the align symbol and the stop
mode are indicated in the upper right corner of the
display.
The alignment parameters are retained for as longas the
system remains switched on or until the align (7) Key is
pressed again.
Setting the record level

Adjustthe record level based on the loudest section
and in accordance with the maximum record levels
specified in the technical data for the corresponding
tape type.

To lower the record level press level (2).

To increase the record level press level (6).
The record level is shown in the middle of the display.
