Operating the CD player
e Press the cd (17) key. Ifa CD is already inserted, the
CD player starts in play mode. This is indicated in
the upper right corner of the display (9). Press the
more (8) key to switch to the following menu, if it
is not already displayed:

e Press the load (4) key if no CD is in the CD player.
e Insert a CD (with the label facing upward).
e Press the play (5) key. The cover closes and the CD
player starts in play mode. The current mode (play,
stop, pause, ...) is always shown in the upper right
corner of the display (9).
Operating functions
e Press the cd (17) key. Press the more (8) key to
switch to the following menu, if it is not already
displayed:

Starting a CD
¢ To start a CD from stop mode, press the play (5)
key. If the CD compartment is open, simply press
play (5) to start.
¢ If play (5) is pressed while a CD is being played, the
current track is played from the beginning.
Playing the next track
¢ Press the next (6) key. Starting a CD from stop
mode. If the CD compartment is open you can also
press the next (6) key for playing the next track.
Playing the previous track
e Press the prev (2) key. Starting a CD from stop
mode. If the CD compartment is open you can also
press the prev (2) key for playing the previous
track.
Step-wise searching on the CD
¢ With each brief depression of either scan (3 or 7)
key, a one-second search is performed in the
forward or reverse direction. This function is
confirmed in the upper right corner of the display.
¢ — With each long depression of either scan (3 or 7)
key, a high-speed search is performed in the
forward or reverse direction. This function is
confirmed in the upper right corner of the display.
During the search the audio signal is muted.
interrupting the playback
¢ To interrupt the playback press the pause (1) key.
To resume playback press this key again.
e In pause mode you can search the start of a track
by pressing the next (6) or prev (2) key. The CD
player remains in pause mode. The same can be
done with the scan (3 and 7) keys.
Opening and closing the CD compartment
¢ — Press the load (4) key to open or close the CD
compartment.
The CD compartment can also be closed by lightly
pushing it in by hand. Play mode is started auto-
matically.
