The following is a summarizing table of a few useful suggestions for the diagnosis and solution of possible mod-
ule problems.
Problem

Explanation
General malfunction

Maximum number of decryptable
channel with the used CAM has
been achieved. The number of
channel that can be decrypted de-
pends on CAM specifications (only
for SIG7340).

of specified values
The output video format is the same
as the input
The CAM menu can be used cor-
rectly only if the Smart Card (SD) is
inserted

1. Check the aerial connection
2. Check the frequency input
setting
3. check the proper placement
and appropriate use of CAM
and its smart-card
1. Check the RF signal level by
using a field meter
2. Check the FW
compatibility of used CAM
(referring to the SAT provider)
This message means "Wait"
Check the technical specification
of the CAM manufacturer to know
the maximum number of channel
that can be decrypted. Delete the
desired number of channel to add
other different channels. It is pos-
sible to add another receiver to the
headend.
The maximum number of channels
to be decrypted and supported
by the SIG7340 module has been
reached.
Check with Field Analyzer the digital
characteristics of the Transponder
The output video format can be
modified only if a channel with 16/9
format is present at the input. Oth-
erwise, the output format will be the
same as the input format.
Make sure that the Smart Card is
present and correctly inserted in
the CAM
Wait a few minutes and the message
will automatically disappear
