3.3.11 FAN ACCESSIBILITY / FAN ACCESSIBILITÉ
TURN THE MAIN GAS & POWER OFF TO FIREPLACE BEFORE COMMENCING ANY WORK ON THE
FIREPLACE THIS SHOULD BE DONE BY A LICENSED, CERTIFIED GAS INSTALLER

THE 4 FANS IN THIS FIREPLACE (TWO IN THE FRONT AND TWO IN THE BACK) ARE CONNECTED TO
2 HI/LOW THERMODISCS, THE UNIT CAN NOT BE OPERATED WITHOUT THE FANS GOING AS THE
GLASS TEMPERATURE WILL EXCEED THE ALLOWABLE STANDARD OF 172F DEGREES.

2/. Remove the outer glass as per instructions on page 38
3/. Remove the inner louvers
4/. Remove the fan ducts as shown in diagram above right
5/. Lift the fan out, fans are attached to the metal floor of the fireplace with heavy duty magnets as
shown below.
6/. Once removed from the floor the fan will slide out through the opening.
7/. When replacing fans make sure they line up totally with the fan ducts once the fan ducts are put back
into place. This will ensure the air is properly circulated between the 2 glass panels to maintain the
outer glass temperature as certified.
8/. To replace fan and reassemble the fireplace go in reverse order from steps 7 through 1.
