ADJUSTMENT OF HEIGHT
The mower has 3 cutting heights, 25mm, 40mm and 55mm. To adjust the
height proceed as follows:
1.
Lift the mower.
2.
Push the wheel towards the front of the mower and raise or lower the
wheel until it locks.
3.
Carry out this process on all the wheels, locking them in the same
position.
NOTE: The motor is protected by a safety shutdown system
that is activated when the blade jams or the motor is
overloaded. When this happens, turn off the machine, clear
any obstructions and wait a few minutes.
REPLACE THE CUTTING BLADES
ATTENTION: Before performing this operation, check that the machine is completely off. Wear
protective gloves when replacing the blade.
1.
Hold the blade firmly in one hand and use the key to remove the blade clamp bolt by turning counterclockwise.
2.
Remove the blade and clean the spindle area.
3.
To place the new blade, align it with the drive shaft, making sure the blade mark is on the outside.
4.
Tighten the blade securing bolt.
TIPS FOR MOWING THE LAWN
•
The equipment is designed for domestic use only.
•
Always wear appropriate footwear such as boots, long trousers whenever you use the product. DO NOT wear open
footwear or shorts.
•
Check the work area before mowing the lawn and remove any objects such as stones, etc. that may be thrown by
the mower or that may damage it.
•
If the machine hits an object during cutting or if an object is caught in the mower, stop the machine immediately.
•
Allow the machine to come to a complete stop and cool down before inspecting the machine or before removing
any object that may get caught in the mower.
•
If the machine is damaged, have it inspected or repaired by the Official Technical Service before using it again.
•
If you notice that the machine vibrates excessively during operation, it is an indication that the machine is damaged
or worn and we recommend that you take it to an authorized technical centre for inspection before using it again.
•
Avoid cutting wet grass. Wet grass clippings do not collect well and have a tendency to stick to the underside of
the mower deck.
•
Avoid cutting very tall grass. If the grass is very tall, mow in several passes, each time reducing the cutting height.
•
Do not use the equipment for other purposes for which it has not been designed, such as shredding leaves or
wood chipping.
•
Avoid working on overly steep slopes when mowing, and when mowing on an incline, mow across the face of the
incline, and not up and down.
•
Be careful when reversing or when pulling the equipment towards you and when changing direction.
•
Stop the engine if the equipment has to be tilted or moved over non-grass surfaces.
•
Be aware that cutting more than one third of the total height of the grass may affect the health of the grass, and
that weeds can spread more easily in extremely short grass. A healthier lawn is achieved by mowing the lawn
regularly and not cutting the grass back excessively.
