Product Summary
The NXG-320-CPU is the remote smart power supply module
for the xGen control panel range. It has two auxiliary power
outputs (2x 400 mA) and an RS-485 bus power output
(400 mA). The NXG-320-CPU also offers two programmable
inputs and two programmable SPDT relay outputs. The module
has a tamper connector that can be used to supervise the
enclosure in which it is mounted. Both the mains power supply
and the batteries are monitored.
The NXG-320-CPU module allows to extend the RS-485 bus
length (up to 800 m). The extended RS-485 bus is optically
isolated.
Up to 8x NXG-320-CPU smart power supplies can be used per
xGen system.

Installation
1.
NXG-320:
See figure 2.
NXG-320 features a DIN rail for mounting xGen modules,
a tamper switch, and an integrated cable management.
The enclosure should be installed in accordance with
EN 50131-1 Environmental Class II to provide operating
conditions within the temperature and humidity ranges
listed in "Specifications" on page 7.
The lid can be removed by releasing the two screws using
the supplied Allen key.
Due to safety reasons it is not allowed to wall-mount the
device higher that 2 meters from the floor.
Note:
The housing cover must be installed with the clips
on top.
NXG-320-M:
See figure 3.
NXG-320-M has a metal enclosure that includes a tamper
switch and one metal DIN rail.
The enclosure should be installed in accordance with
EN 50131-1 Environmental Class II to provide operating
conditions within the temperature and humidity ranges
listed in "Specifications" on page 7.
Due to safety reasons it is not allowed to wall-mount the
device higher that 2 meters from the floor.
2.
See figures 4, 5, and 6.
3.
Install box tamper.
4.
Connect box tamper to tamper input on smart power
supply.
Power Outputs
See Figure 7.
The smart power supply has two auxiliary power outputs (2x
400 mA) and an RS-485 bus power output (400 mA):
1.
POS1/NEG RS-485 LAN power output.
2.
POS2/COM2 auxiliary power output terminal - also
provides power to zones 1 & 2 and relay outputs 1 & 2 (if
not set for dry contact).
