Connecting to the TV
5.1
TV compatibility
Loewe klang sub1 is compatible with all Loewe
TV sets with SL3, SL4, SL5, SL7 chassis and all
other TV sets with variable audio line-out. This
means that the TV must support changing the
line-out volume synchronously with the volume
of the TV speakers.
5.2
Connection via Bluetooth
transmitter
1.
Connect the supplied USB extension cable
to the TV.
2.
Connect the Bluetooth transmitter to the
other end of the USB extension cable.
3.
Use 3,5mm audio cable to connect trans-
mitter to the "AUDIO OUT" connector on
the TV.
Note: If you want to use a different audio cable
than the one included in the package, use only
an audio cable with ground loop isolator.
The subwoofer and transmitter are paired from
the factory.
If you have a Loewe TV, proceed to chapter "5.4
Additional settings for Loewe TV". For TVs of
other brands, make sure to set the "Variable"
audio output.
5.3
Connection via audio cable
It is possible to connect a TV with the subwoofer
directly with 3,5 mm audio cable.
1.
Connect 3,5 mm audio cable to "LINE IN"
jack on the bottom of the subwoofer. Use
only a cable with a right-angle 3,5 mm
stereo plug for this connection.
2.
Secure the cable to the cable management
compartment.
3.
Connect the other end of the cable to the
"AUDIO OUT" jack on the TV.
4.
Rotate the volume knob on the subwoofer
to adjust the sound level.
Note: In case when both Bluetooth and wired
connections are established, sound will be
reproduced via Bluetooth.

Additional settings for
Loewe TV
If you are connecting subwoofer with Loewe
TV, you will need to set it up in the TV menu.
Settings for TVs with SL3, SL4, SL5
chassis
1.
Press the HOME button to open the
Home screen and then select [System

settings] – [Connections] – [Sound
Components].
2.
Select [Speaker System (AUDIO OUT)].
3.
Select the correct speaker setting option
and adjust the subwoofer volume using
the TV menu.
Settings for TVs with SL7 chassis
Before changing your TV's settings, make sure
your TV's software is updated to the latest
version.
1.
Press the
(menu) button and
then select [Settings] – [Sound] –
[Headphone] – [Headphone Mode].
2.
Select [Audio Out with Speakers].
5.5
Pairing the subwoofer with
the Bluetooth transmitter
The subwoofer and transmitter are paired from
the factory.
Only take these steps in the unlikely event that
you do not hear sound from the subwoofer
after you have completed all connections and
set up your TV.
1.
Press and hold the pairing button on the
transmitter until LED indicator on it will
start flashing quickly.
2.
Press and hold volume knob of the
subwoofer for at least 3 seconds to enter
pairing mode.
3.
Your TV and the subwoofer will now be
connected by the transmitter; the LED
indicator on the transmitter will stop
flashing.
5.6
Auto Standby
The subwoofer automatically switches to stand-
by mode to save power in the following cases:
1.
When Bluetooth is disconnected for 9
minutes.
The subwoofer automatically wakes up
when it detects an incoming Bluetooth
signal.
If the subwoofer does not wake up
automatically, briefly press the pai-
ring button of the transmitter to re-
connect to the last paired device.
2.
If no line-in input signal is present for 10
minutes.
The subwoofer automatically wakes up again
when it detects an incoming signal.
