Cause /
>> Explanation
No mains voltage
Normal operation without fault
No enable = OFF
Terminals "D1" - "24 V / 10 V" (digital In 1)
Not bridged.
Active temperature management
To protect the unit from damage due to inter-
nal temp. which are too high, it has an active
temperature management system. In case of a
temperature increase above the set limit value,
the modulation reduces on a linear scale. To
prevent external deactivation of the complete
system in case of reduced operation due to
internal temp. which are too high (in case of
this permissible operation for the controller), an
error message is not issued via the relay.
HALL-IC
Incorrect signal from Hall-ICs, error in the com-
mutation.
>> Incorrect internal connection!
Phase failure (only for 3 ~ types)
The controller has integrated phase monito-
ring, and in case of mains fault (blown fuse or
phase failure), the unit deactivates with a delay
(approx. 200 ms). Only works if controller is
sufficiently loaded.
Motor blocked
If commutation is present and no speed > 0 is
measured for 8 sec., the "Motor blocked" error
is triggered.
IGBT fault
Ground fault or short circuit in the motor win-
ding
ZK undervoltage
If the intermediate circuit voltage falls below the
set limit value, the unit is deactivated.
ZK overvoltage
If the intermediate circuit increases above the
set limit value, the motor is deactivated.
>> Cause – input voltage too high or regenera-
tive motor operation.
IGBT cooling period

Controller response /
>> Repair
Mains voltage available?
>> Unit switches "off" and back "ON"
automatically when the voltage is res-
tored
Deactivation via external contact
( ð digital input).
If the temperature drops, the modulation
increases on a linear scale.
>> Controller cooling control!
Controller deactivates motor. Automatic
restart if no more faults are detected.
>> Exchange fan / motor!
After deactivation, the unit is restarted
after approx. 15 sec. if there is a suffi-
cient power supply. This takes place until
all 3 mains phases are available.
>> Check power supply!
EC Controller deactivates, restart after
approx. 2,5 sec.
Definitive deactivation if fourth restart is
unsuccessful.
>> Reset by disconnecting the mains
voltage then required.
>> Check whether motor can rotate
freely.
EC Controller deactivates, restart after
approx. 60 sec. ->Code 9.
Definitive deactivation if another error is
detected within 60 sec. after the second
restart.
>> Reset by disconnecting the mains
voltage then required!
If the intermediate circuit voltage increa-
ses above the limit value again within 75
sec., the unit is automatically restarted.
If the intermediate circuit voltage stays
below the limit value for longer than 75
sec., the unit is deactivated with an error
message.
If the intermediate circuit voltage falls
below the limit value again within 75 sec.,
the unit is automatically restarted.
If the intermediate circuit voltage stays
above the limit value for longer than 75
sec., the unit is deactivated with an error
message.
IGBT cooling period for approx. 60 sec.
Definitive deactivation after 2 cooling
periods -> Code 6.
