= Dry Cell Operation
¢ Push and remove the battery compartment lid @ at
the back of the main body in the direction of OPEN
indication.
e Insert two dry cells IEC R6 (''AA"' cell) into the com-
partment. Take care that the cells are oriented for cor-
rect polarity.
e For taking out the cells from the compartment, ap-
ply the compartment lid @ as shown in the sketch
below.
= AC Line Operation (with optional AC adaptor)
® To power the unit from an AC mains outlet, purchase the optional AC adaptor. Plug
the AC adaptor into a convenient AC outlet, then insert the output plug from the adap-
tor into the [DC IN 3V] jack @ on the unit. This will automatically disconnect the inter-
nal batteries and supply power to the unit from the AC mains.
Note:
The center contact in the [DC IN 3V] jack @ of this unit requires a negative vol-
tage. Incorrect AC adaptors may provide a positive voltage to the center con-
tact, damaging the unit.
e If the unit is to be left unused or is to be powered from the AC adaptor for a prolonged
period of time, remove the dry cells from the unit. Otherwise, the cells may leak caus-
ing corrosion of unit parts.
How to Use the Unit Holder
Use the unit holder according to the No. of ''Usage of Unit Holder'' on page 2.
