– Advancing speed. The tool automatically switches from a fast advancing speed of the blade to
a slow, high pressure cutting speed.
– Safety. The tool is provided with max pressure valve; MPC1 special manometer, is available upon
request to check the correct setting of the valve.
2. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE (Ref. to Fig. 2)
2.1) Setting
– Select the appropriate die set. Two styles of die set are available:
Die Sets for cutting contact wire:
the die profi le matches the profi le of the contact wire.
Die Sets for cutting conductor:
the die profi le matches the profi le of the conductor.
2.2) Positioning
– Insert the die set into the head (see § 2.5).
– Position the conductor inside the die set so that the blade (15) lines up with the desired cutting
point.
– Close the die set (see Fig. 3) by moving the locking handle (49) towards the tool body, until auto-
matically 'locked' in position and securely clamping the wire/conductor (see Fig. 4).
– Operate the moveable handle (31) to advance the blade (15) to the conductor (see Fig. 5)
