Recommended Maintenance Schedule

Continued safe and dependable operation requires routine maintenance.
Service Item
Housing Clean built-up grass clippings and dirt.
Check blade and engine mounting
fasteners frequently. Keep all nuts, bolts
Fasteners
and screws tight to be sure the mower is
in safe working condition.
Lubrication Grease rear grease fittings.
Inspect every 25 hours and replace if
Spark Plug necessary. Replace after every 100
operating hours or once a season.
Remove BBC shield and brush or blow
Cleaning

out debris from inside of shield and

around all parts.
Drain and refill engine crankcase with
fresh oil after first 5 hours of operation.
Thereafter, change every 50 hours.
Engine Oil
Change oil every 25 hours when
operating under heavy load or in high
temperatures.
Sharpen or replace; maintain more
Blade frequently if edge is dulled quickly in
rough or sandy conditions.
Check stopping time every 50 hours or at
start of each mowing season. Blade must
Blade Brake stop within three seconds of releasing
bail; if not see your Authorized Toro
Service Dealer for repair.
Check for leakage and/or deterioration of
Fuel System
fuel hose. Replace if necessary.
Service Operation

statement, any service or emission
control part repair or replacement
must be performed by an
