General Safety Instructions
WARNING ! READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS.
Failure to follow all instructions listed below, may result in electric shock, fire and /or serious personal injury.
Work area
1. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark areas invite accidents.
2. Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may
ignite the dust or fumes.
3. Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
Electrical Safety
(The following applies only to tools with a separate battery pack)
A battery operated tool with integral batteries or a separate battery pack must be recharged only with the specified charger for the battery. A charger that may
be suitable for one type of battery may create a risk of fire when used with another battery.
Personal Safety
1. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence
of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
2. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Contain long hair. Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from moving parts. Loose clothes,
jewellery, or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
3. Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is in the locked or off position before inserting batter pack. Carrying tools with your finger on the switch invites
accidents.
4. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. Proper footing and balance enable better control of the tool in unexpected situations
5. Use safety equipment. Always wear hearing and eye protection, Dust mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat must be used for appropriate conditions.
Power tool use and care
1. Use clamps or other practical ways to secure and support the work piece to a stable platform. Holding the work piece by hand or against your body is unstable
and may lead to loss of control.
2. Do not force tool. Use the correct tool for your application. The correct tool will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it is designed.
3. Do not use tool if switch does not turn it on of off. A tool that cannot be controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
4. Store idle tools out of reach of children and other untrained persons. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users
5. Maintain tools with care. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained tools with sharp cutting edge are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
6. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts, and any other condition that may affect the tool's operation. If damaged, have the tool
serviced before using .Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained tools.
7. Use only accessories that are supplied with your model. Other accessories that may not be suitable for this tool and may create a risk of injury when used.
Recommended and Proper Use
The replaceable attachment with the chain pruner combined with the handle and/or extension handle may only be used to prune trees in private gardens.

make the manufacturer liable for damages.
This hand held power tool is a cordless pole chainsaw. This power product is supplied without batteries or charger. This power tool should only be operated
combined with the recommended by the manufacturer genuine Bormann battery and charger.
Device-specific safety instructions

Keep all parts of your body in safe distance from the saw when running. Before starting the saw, make sure the saw chain does not touch anything.
A moment of Inattention when working with the chain saw is able to cause the saw chain to catch your clothes or parts of your body.
Wear protective glasses and ear protectors.
Further, wearing head, hand and leg protection equipment Is recommended. Suitable protective clothing minimises the risk of injury by thrown-away wood
chips and possible contact with the saw chain.
Do not work on trees with the power tool. There is a risk of injury when working on a tree.
Provide safe posture at all times and use the power tool only when standing on a solid, safe and level surface. A slippery or unstable surface, such as ladder,
may lead to loss of balance or loss of control over the power tool.
When cutting a tense branch, be sure to know that the branch will bounce back. If tension In the wood fibres gets released, the tense branch may hit the
operator and/or cause a loss of control over the chain saw.
Be especially careful when cutting scrubs and saplings. Thin material may get caught in the guide bar and chain and hit you or you may lose your balance.
Carry the power tool by the front handle in a switched-off condition and the saw chain must be deflected from your body. Fit a protection cover on the cutting
guide bar whenever it is transported or stored. Careful power tool treatment reduces the likelihood of an accidental contact with the running saw chain.
Keep children and other persons including animals in a safe distance when using the appliance. Minimum safe distance is 10m.
Provide adequate lighting or good lighting conditions when working with the machine.
Wear suitable protective clothing such as sturdy shoes with non-slip sole robust long trousers, gloves, safety glasses and hearing protection!
Do not wear loose clothing or jewels. Hear, clothing and gloves must be out of reach of moving parts as they could get caught by the rotating parts. Do not
use the appliance when guide barefooted or in open sandals.
Electrical hazard, keep at least 10m distance away from electrical power lines.
During appliance operation, it is necessary to take a safe and firm posture, especially when steps or ladder are being used.
Be careful when going backwards- risk of tripping!
Do not run! Immediately remove cut branches/knots from the work area to prevent injuries.
