The pump-activated suction lifters are equipped with a hand pump (A), a suction pad (D), a ventilation valve (B), and a vac-
uum indicator (C). Pumping generates a vacuum between the suction pad and the gastight surface of the load to be
carried. A coloured ring serves as a vacuum indicator. Once sufficient vacuum has been achieved – the coloured ring
is not visible – the pump-activated suction lifter can be used. If the vacuum decreases – the coloured ring becomes
visible – the operator can engage the pump at all times to top up the vacuum. The pump-activated suction lifter is re-
leased from the load by engaging the ventilation valve.
Position the centre of gravity of the load on the centre of the transport trolley, otherwise the load might
tip over unintentionally.
Make sure that the suction pad lies flat on the contact surface of the load and covers it entirely.
It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that generating the vacuum does not cause damage to the object to
be carried (e. g. glass breakage with thin glass or the bending of thin sheets).
Make sure that the suction surface is suitable to withstand the intended force to be applied by the
suction device (e. g. handling at the housing, holding of devices).
As the suction pads are made of high grip rubber, a dark ring may remain on the object to be
carried after the initial application and after applications for a longer duration. This can normally be removed
easily with Bohle Special Glass Cleaner (BO 5107910).
First, use the product to clean a concealed spot to test the effect of the special glass cleaner on the surface.
