Activating DHCP Mode: To switch to DHCP mode, follow these steps with the unit
powered ON: press the IP Reset button 5 times within a 10-second window. This
action will change the network settings from the default static-IP mode to DHCP
mode. In DHCP mode, the unit obtains an IP address from a connected DHCP
server on the network. If no DHCP server is available on the network, the unit
will acquire an APIPA IP address, which falls within the range of 169.254.0.1 to
169.254.255.254, along with a subnet mask of 255.255.0.0. After the 5th press, the
unit will initiate a reboot, during which the status LED will begin to flash slowly.
Once the booting process is finished and the IP settings have been applied
properly, the status LED will light up permanently in white.
NETWORK CONNECTION
The XEDAI module from LD Systems enables remote control of compatible
devices, such as IPA Series amplifiers, via the network. Once the XEDAI module
is installed in a device, it can be connected to a network infrastructure and
controlled via a computer using LD Systems QUESTRA software.
PREREQUISITES FOR OPERATION
• Computer with QUESTRA software installed
• Network interface (router, switch) with activated multicast traffic to enable
device discovery process in QUESTRA software via mDNS protocol (It is recom-
mended to activate IGMP protocol for proper multicast traffic management).
• Ethernet cable. Use a standard RJ45 Ethernet cable (Cat 5e or better)
for all wired connections.
