Possible cause
No power
Defective ON/OFF Switch
Sanding sleeve or Flap Wheel grit too fine or worn
Variable Speed Dial (4) set at too low speed
Grit too coarse
Sanding Sleeve (19) or Detail Flap Wheel (20)
incompatible with material
Too much pressure exerted
Variable Speed Dial set at too high a speed
Sanding Sleeve incorrect size or faulty
Oil or grease or other lubricant on surface of Sanding
Sleeve Drum
Solution
Check power supply
Have the ON/OFF Switch replaced by an authorised Silverline service centre
Fit new Sanding Sleeve or Flap Wheel with coarser grit
Increase speed
Fit new Sanding Sleeve or Flap Wheel with finer grit and continue sanding
of surface to remove scratches
Fit correct Sanding Sleeve or Flap Wheel
Use less pressure whilst sanding
Decrease speed
Replace with the correct size Sanding Sleeve
Completely clean and dry the Sanding Sleeve Drum
