OIL PUMP

The oil pump (A), located in the engine sump, automatically
carries out chain lubrication with no special maintenance
requirements unless recycled oil is used.
Through the screwdriver slot in the pump casing, oil flow rate
can be adjusted.
The pump and the tank have been specially sized to prevent
oil from running out before fuel.
INFORMATION
At each fuel tank filling also fill up the lube oil tank.
OIL FILTER (fig. 34)
The oil filter is located at the end of the suction tube and can
be removed for cleaning or replacement as follows:
- remove the clutch (see fig.32.);
- remove the two fastening screws and then the metal sheet;
- remove the pump cap (4);
- remove the pump cover (3) and the oil pump (A);
- remove the oil suction tube (6) from its seat at the end of
which the oil filter is mounted.
ENGINE - MAINTENANCE (fig. 35)
The engine has been bench tested and preset by the
manufacturer.
During the first 10-15 work hours, the chain saw should never
work under stress for long periods of time.
WARNING
Keep the air intakes, pipes and filters clean. Make sure

Regularly: it is important,in order to avoid engine overheating,
to remove dust and dirt from slots,from cylinder, cap and fins
using a brush or compressed air.
BAR - MAINTENANCE (fig. 36)
The bars with an end driving wheel should be lubricated at
each refuelling. Use a grease gun with oil SAE 140 or IBEA
grease.
The driving wheel should be soaked in oil after each work
day and left there throughout the night.
Daily turn the bar to obtain even wear.
Clean the greasing holes and channels.
Do not use worn out bars which could damage a new chain.
When the guiding links make contact to the bar track bottom,
the bar should be changed.
