Styling your hair
This wave iron was designed for creating
waves in medium to long hair.
Proceed as follows:
■ Comb the hair and divide it into even, flat
strands about 2 to 3 cm wide.
■ Make sure that adjacent strands are
slightly offset.
■ Attach the upper strands to the top of
the head with hair clips; start the styling
process with the lower strands (Fig. 1).
■ Insert a strand of hair at the lower third
into the gap in the heating element. Use
the longer arm of the heating element as
a threading aid (Fig. 2).
■ Hold the appliance in a level position and
lock the tip of the strand into position by
turning it once or twice; hold the hair ends
with your fingers (Figures 3 and 4).
■ Roll up the strand along the heating
element by rotating it (Fig. 4).
■ Heat the rolled-up strand for approxi-
mately six seconds (Fig. 5).
■ Unroll the curl by half a rotation and pull
the appliance out sideways. Hold the curl
in place or fix it in place with a hair clip
(Figures 6, 7 and 8).
■ Let the curl cool down to stabilize its
shape.
■ Treat all strands; when you are done,
style the hair with a large-toothed comb
or with your fingers.
Important: If you have long hair, use the
entire surface of the heating elements. This
spreads the heat evenly through the hair
and delivers better styling results.
