oPerAtIon - Before use for the first time
1. Remove the packaging.
2. C lean all the accessories to remove any residues that may be left from the manufacturing process (see
"Cleaning and maintenance").
3. P ut the plug into the wall socket and allow the grill to heat up for 10 minutes. This will remove any
packaging odor from the appliance.
note T he appliance may emit a little smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first
time. This is normal and will stop on its own. Make sure there is sufficient ventilation.
oPerAtIon - Preparations
1. Place the grill on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface.
2. Close the lid.
3. Put the plug in the wall socket. The "Power" and "Ready" indicator lights will illuminate.
4. The appliance is ready to use once the "Ready" indicator light exstinguishes.
oPerAtIon - Grilling
5. Open the lid.
6. Lay the food that you want to grill on the lower grill plate.
• T o obtain a larger grill surface first raise the top plate into the vertical position, then use the 'Lock'
button (3) and swing the entire top backwards; you can then heat food on both grill plates.
