ALVITA ANKLE STABILISING ORTHOSIS
Comfort and protection of the injured joint
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
Adjusting the width of the heel pad.
• Open the orthosis and raise the bottom of the liner until the heelstraps are
fully exposed.
• Pull the heel straps and adjust the width of the heel pad for asnug fit (Fig. 1).
• Press firmly on the heel straps and put the lining in place.
Applying the orthosis.
• Put on an absorbent sock or an ankle bandage.
• Align the sides of the orthosis with the ankle (Fig. 2).
Attaching the straps.
• Attach the straps from bottom to top.
• Put on a lace-up shoe or sports shoe.
Adjusting the orthosis.
• Press the sides of the orthosis together with one hand.
• Tighten the straps from bottom to top with the other hand until
comfortable support is achieved (Fig. 3).
RECOMMENDATIONS:
• It is recommended to wear an absorbent sock underthe orthosis.
• The orthosis fits perfectly in a sports shoe or lace-upshoe.
INTENDED USER PROFILE: The intended user should be a licensed
medical professional, the patient, the patient's caretaker, or a family
member providing assistance. The user should be able to read,
understand and be physically capable to perform all the directions,
warnings and cautions provided in the information for use.
INDICATIONS:
The Ankle Stabilizing Orthosis is designed to protect the ankle following
mild to moderate sprains.
Providing mild protection of a limb or body segment for acute and
prophylactic care.
CONTRAINDICATIONS: Do not use if you are allergic to any of the
materials contained in this product.
WARNINGS & PRECAUTIONS:
• Contact the manufacturer and the competent authority in the event of
a serious incident resulting from the use of this brace.
• If you experience any of the following symptoms, consult your doctor
immediately:
- Feeling of numbness or tingling in the foot.
- Pale and cold toes.
- Intolerance of support for a few days.
- Severe pain even at rest.
- Increase in oedema and decrease in mobility.
• Do not use over open wounds.
• Do not use this device if it is damaged and/or the packaging has been
opened.
