Ensure that the voltage of the mains power supply matches the operating voltage indicated on the
tool's rating plate.
- Connect the power plug to the coupling of an appropriate extension cord.
- Form a loop with the extension cord, push it through the opening in the rear handle and hook over
the cable holder (8).
4.3- Starting the machine
- Switching on: press the on/off switch (4) of the front handle and the switch (5) of the rear handle
with both hands at the same time.
- Switching off: Release any one of the switches (4) or (5).
- The blade brake makes the blades stop immediately within 0.5s
Warning! The cutting blades continue to move for a few seconds after the hedge trimmer is
switched off. Wait until the cutting blades come to a complete standstill before placing the machine
down
Caution! Do not touch the moving blades.
V. OPERATION
5.1- Intended use
- The product is intended for outdoor domestic use in private gardens.
- The product is intended for cutting hedges, shrubs within the limits of its characteristics.
- This tool may not be used to do other things outside of the described scope in this manual.
- Do not use the machine for unsuitable purposes (for ex. for cutting wood ...)
- The tool is not intended for professional or industrial use (for ex.: in public parks...).
5.2- Operation
Before any operation:
-- always visually inspect that the product does not show signs of use or damage
-- check that the screws, bolts and nuts are well tightened.
Replace any used or damaged part, and tighten firmly the screws, bolts and nuts when needed.
Important - Before starting work
- Check the blades proper operation. The blades work in opposite direction and have two cutting
sides to provide greater cutting capacity and performance.
- Repeat several times the starting and stoppage of the machine to become familiar with it.
- Make trial work on small shrubs or hedges to become familiar with handling the machine.
1. Ensure that tool is properly connected to power supply. Lay the extension cord behind you.
2. Wear appropriate protective equipment.
3. Clear working area off any objects likely to pose a hazard.
4. Inform persons to stay away from working area and machine while you are working.
5. Firmly hold tool with both hands, and always maintain a balanced and secure position.
6. Place blade above the hedge. Do not make sudden movements.
7. Press on switches (4) and (5) to start operation.
8. Once work is finished, stop product by releasing the switch (4) or (5).
Note: do not put down product until the cutting blade has completely stopped moving.
5.3- Tips
- In addition to its trimming function, the tool can be used to cut small brushes or trim small bushes.
- The trimming cut will be improved if an angle of 5°, between the hedge and the blade, is kept
during the operation. (Fig.2)
- Both sides of the cutting blades allow to trim both ways: from right to left or left to right (Fig. 3).
- To achieve a regular trim, we recommend you to limit the side of the hedge with a wire or line.
