• When in use, the electronic components in the switch of the heated underblanket make the switch
slightly warm. The switch should therefore never be covered or placed on the heated underblanket
when it is in operation.
• Do not pull, twist or make any sharp kinks in the cables.
• Do not stick pins, needles or any sharp objects into this heated underblanket.
• This heated underblanket may not be used by children unless the switch has been preset by a pa-
rent or a supervisory person, or the child has been sufficiently instructed in how to use this heated
underblanket safely.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not use the device as a toy.
• This heated underblanket must be checked frequently for signs of wear or damage. If there are
such signs or if the heated underblanket has been used incorrectly, it must be taken to either the
manufacturer or the dealer before further use.
• Repairs may only be carried out by specially trained personnel or at an authorised repair work-
shop, as special tools are required. Incorrect repairs may cause considerable danger to the user.
• Should you still have questions on using our appliances, please contact our customer service.
2. Use
This electric underblanket is intended for warming beds. The electric underblanket heats up best
when it is switched on when covered with a quilt. The heating up time with the electric underblanket
covered is approx. 30 minutes. You can use either side of the electric underblanket.
The electric underblanket is fitted with the BEURER SAFETY SYSTEM (BSS). This electronic
sensor technology prevents the blanket from overheating over its entire surface by switching it off
automatically in the event of a fault. If, as a result of a fault, the electric underblanket is switched off
automatically by the Beurer Safety System (BSS), the signal lamp will no longer light up even when
the blanket is switched on. Please note that for safety reasons the electric underblanket must no
longer be operated after a fault and must be sent in to the service address stated.
2.1 Operation
Place the electric underblanket on your mattress and spread it out flat starting from the foot end.
Then as usual place the quilt over it, so that the electric underblanket is between mattress and quilt.
Always ensure that the electric underblanket is spread out flat and is not folded or creased when
in use. When making the bed, check its position – the electric underblanket must be switched on
only when it is spread out flat. We urgently recommend that you switch on the electric underblan-
ket for approx. 30 minutes before going to bed and covering it with a quilt to prevent the heat from
escaping. The electric underblanket with removable switch must be operated only with the types of
switch specified on the blanket.
Attention: The electronic components in the switch will cause the switch to warm up slightly
when the electric underblanket is being used. For this reason, the switch must never lie on the
electric underblanket or be covered by blankets, pillows etc.

2.2 Temperature selection

To operate the underblanket first connect the switch to the radiator by plugging in the connector.
Plug the power cord into the mains outlet.
The quickest way to heat up the heated underblanket is to first select the highest setting. If it is to be
used for several hours, we then recommend setting the lowest temperature.
