SERVICE GARAGE JACK 2T
REGULAR MAINTENANCE / REPAIRS/ SERVICING
• Any maintenance work failing to respect these guidelines will not incur liability in the manufacturers.
• The person undertaking the maintenance of the jack must have all the skills required to carry out the work.
• Check the condition of the markings frequently and before each use to make sure they are identical to those that
were originally present.
• No modification that might negatively affect the compliance of the jack should be made.
• Check the jack frequently and make sure there is no trace of rust.
BEFORE CHANGING THE TIRE
• Park the car on a level surface.
• Put an automatic gearbox in "Park" position and a manual gearbox in "Reverse".
• Apply the handbrake and turn on the warning lights.
• Make yourself clearly visible with a warning triangle and a safety jacket.
• Place wedges in front of and behind the tire diagonally opposite the tire to be changed.
TO LIFT THE VEHICLE
• Place the jack on a hard, flat surface.
• Centre the load on the head of the jack to avoid load imbalance. Make sure you position the saddle in the place
provided by the manufacturer of the vehicle (see the manufacturer's manual).
• Close the valve by turning it in a clockwise direction.
• Pump with the handle to lift the vehicle.
• For your safety, then place appropriate jack stands under the vehicle.
TO LOWER THE VEHICLE
1. Raise the load slightly, and remove the stands with precaution.
2. Slightly open the valve (using the handle) by turning it in a counter-clockwise direction.
Do not completely unscrew the safety valve, as oil will leak out!
3. Remove the jack.
4. Remove the wheel chocks from the blocked tyre.
