7.1. HOW TO WORK WITH THIS MACHINE
This shredder has two entrances for material to crush:
Superiror hopper: It is used to crush leaves, and small
branches with diameters smaller than 2 cm
Lateral hopper: It is used to crush branches of more
than 2 cm in diameter.
7.1.1. CRUSHED BRANCHES OVER 2CM
Insert the branch slowly through the lateral hopper
and if necessary push slightly. If the branch is shorter
than the hopper, never put your hand inside to push
the branch. To push a branch that has remained in the
hopper enter use a new branch to push. Keep in mind
that thick branches require more cutting effort than
thin ones, so you should push the wider branches with
less force so as not to stop the machine.
7.1.2. CRUSHED BRANCHES LESS THAN 2CM AND
SHEETS
Use the superior hopper for crushing material with
a diameter of less than 2cm. Never insert material
larger than 2cm in diameter through this hopper as it
will damage the crushing hammers.
Enter the material and it will fall by gravity to the
crushing zone. If for some reason the material gets
stuck inside the hopper before it is crushed, use a thin
branch of less than 2 cm to push the material. Never
put your hand inside the hopper.
Do not lift the plastic hopper lid to introduce material.
7.2. OBSTRUCTION
7.2.1. INTAKE OBSTRUCTION
Never uses your hands if there is a plug
in the hopper. Use a branch
7.2.2. OUTPUT OBSTRUCTION
Do not overfeed and do not feed wet, soggy
material into the shredder as this may clog the
blade chamber and the discharge chute. An
obstruction can be form between the crushing
hammers and the strainer metal plate
To clear the obstruction you will have to dismantle the
strainer following the next procedure:
