1. Lower Exhaust (Optional on Some Models): For ease of installation lowing the exhaust
allows for more clearance to raise the hitch into place. Lower the exhaust hangers by
using a M12 socket to remove the (2) bolts from each exhaust hanger (4 bolts total, 2 per
hanger). Be sure to support the exhaust before removing the bolts.
Proper torque is needed to keep the hitch secure to the vehicle when towing.
3. Install hitch: Raise the hitch into position and slide the brackets above the exhaust pipe. Align bracket holes to the frame rail weldnuts and loosely install M12 bolts (Item ①) and conical
washers (Item ②) to the hitch, see Figure 1. Due to narrow space around passenger side frame rails, use 18 mm crowfoot wrench to secure the M12 bolts on passenger side.
