2. WIRING - Modular Installation
a.
Connecting the 480V Power Source – CAM (-3 Model) or other Receptacles
i.
If you have ordered your Modular Welding Station with input and
output devices, no additional wiring is needed.
ii.
Connect the Input Power and Feed-Thru receptacles as needed.
The unit is rated for 100 Amps 480V 3P4W only.
b. Connecting the 480V Power Source – Direct Wire (-2 Model)
i.
Ensure all power is off and all inverters are disconnected
ii.
Open the 120V Secondary Panel Door (Figure 3)
iii. Remove the dead front panel with 4 screws (Figure 4)
iv. Create cut outs per the drawing location (see drawing and table) for
both 480V input and 480V feed-thru power. (Figure 5)

Remove all metal shavings
vi.
Attach strain reliefs as necessary per the recommended cable OD.
Caution: Strain reliefs must be UL Listed for Outdoor Use.
vii. Feed both input and feed-thru cables through enclosure and
strain reliefs
viii. Terminate cable per the below table to the Incoming lugs of the
Terminal Block, setting torque to below

ix. Tighten all strain relief connections
x. Using a multi-meter, ensure connection between the power source
and feed-thru to ensure a good connection
xi. Dress wire appropriately using zip ties to keep wires clear of operator
areas and metal edges
xii. Replace the dead-front panel
