At the other end of the cover, attach a strap to pull the cover over the pool. Use a bridle configuration with
the cord attached to at least two eyelets so that the tensile stress loading exerted when rolling the cover
out is spread over several eyelets to prevent the strap from being pulled away from the cover. (see the
figure opposite).
4.
ROLLING THE COVER UP/OUT
4.1
Rolling the cover up
If the cover features a step piece added along one length, the step piece should be folded onto the cover
before rolling the cover up.
Using the hand grip, turn the flywheel to roll the cover up, do not roll it too quickly, allow the water time
to flow off the cover. Make sure that the cover is rolling straight; remove any debris stuck to the cover
(leaves, etc.) as the cover approaches the roller, especially if the cover will not be rolled out for a few days.
Roll the deployment strap around the cover, then cover the roller and cover with the protective, reflective
tarp to protect it from sunlight. Tie a few bungee straps around the tarp to keep it in place over the cover.
4.2
Rolling out the cover
Remove the protective tarp, unroll the deployment strap and pull on it steadily, without moving too fast,
until the cover is fully deployed over the surface of the water.
