12. Connection of an External Playback Device
You can connect an external playback device (e.g. MP3 player, stereo system) to the connection AUDIO
INPUT (42) on the rear of the keyboard. Playback will then take place via the integrated speakers (1).
• Switch off the keyboard and the external playback device.
• Connect the audio output of the playback device to the AUDIO INPUT (42) connection.
• Switch the keyboard and the external playback device on again.
• Set the volume at the playback device to a medium volume and adjust the desired volume at the
keyboard.
13. Connection of a USB storage medium
The device is equipped with a USB interface UDISK (41). MP3 files stored on a USB storage medium can
be played.
Do not connect any MP3-player to the USB interface UDISK (41) if it is battery-operated. The
USB interface power supply may load the inserted batteries and cause overheating or explo-
sion of a battery.
USB media up to 32 GB can be connected to the USB interface UDISK (41).
Do not use a USB hard disc, since these consume too much power. This would overload the USB
interface.
Only USB storage media can be operated at the USB interface UDISK (41). MP3 players with
a USB port usually switch into PC mode when this port is connected. In this mode, music
files cannot be played. However, you may connect the audio output of your MP3 player to the
AUDIO INPUT (42).
The USB media must be formatted in FAT or FAT 32.
Due to the great variety of systems with USB interfaces and their different functions, some of
which are very producer-specific, we cannot guarantee that all media will be recognised and
that all the operational functions are available on this device.
If the USB storage medium is not recognised, please remove it and reconnect it.
• Connect your USB storage medium with the USB interface UDISK (41).
