15. Handling
Observe the safety information and all other information in these operating instructions!
• Put up the device on a level, stable and sufficiently sized area. Do not set up the device on valuable
furniture surfaces, since pressure points or scratches may occur. Use suitable pad if required.
• The following unfavourable conditions are to be avoided at the place of installation and during transport:
- Direct solar irradiation
- Dampness or too high humidity
- Extreme cold or heat
- Dust or flammable gases, fumes or solvents
- Strong vibrations
- Strong magnetic fields as present near machines or speakers
• Never use the device immediately after it has been taken from a cold into a warm environment. The
resulting condensation may destroy the device. Allow the device to reach room temperature before
switching it on. This may take several hours.
• Ensure that the entire product insulation is not damaged or destroyed. Do not disassemble the device.
• Check the product for damage before each use!
If you find any damage or if it can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible, the device must
be turned off and precautions are to be taken to ensure that it is not used unintentionally. Switch the
product off and disconnect it from the mains unit. Take the product to a specialised workshop or dispose
of it in an environmentally friendly way.
It can be assumed that safe operation is no longer possible if
- the device shows visible damage,
- the device no longer functions and
- the device has been stored under unfavourable conditions for an extended period of time or
- the device has been subjected to heavy stress during transport.
• Never push any pointy objects into the ventilation slits and openings. This will destroy the device.
• When setting up the device, make sure that none of the connection cables are bent nor pinched.
• Place the cables where no one can trip over them.
