Adjusting / activating the
brakes
Service brake
To activate the service brake, pull both handbrake levers on the push
handles towards the body (Fig. 16). Service and locking brake act on
the fixed wheels.
Locking brake
•
Pull both red brake levers towards you to activate the locking device
(Fig. 17).
•
To release the locking device, slide both brake levers back to the
front position (Fig. 18)
Adjusting the brakes
We recommend carrying out the brake adjustments together with your
specialist dealer. If you have the necessary technical knowledge, you
can also make the adjustments yourself.
The brake is set properly, if the brake pins do not touch the wheel and
the locking brake can be activated easily.
•
Loosen the locknut (Fig. 19, arrow) so the adjustment nut can turn.
•
Now turn the wide adjustment nut further inwards or outwards to
increase or decrease the braking effect.
•
Retighten the locknut.
•
Repeat the procedure on the other brake if necessary.
