Attaching the car charger cable
You attach the car charger cable by plugging the thin
end into the USB input
and the end which resembles a pistol into the input of
the cigarette lighter in your car.
To protect your device against voltage spikes, you
should only attach the car charger cable once the
vehicle has already been started up.
Attaching the TMC dipole antenna - receiving
reports of traffic jams
A TMC module is already integrated in the F-Series.
However, to ensure better reception of reports of traffic
jams, it is advisable to connect up the TMC dipole
antenna. To do this, you need to insert the transparent
antenna cable into the opening provided for it on the
bottom of the device
to attach the antenna cable vertically on the wind-
screen. The cable should be as taut as possible be-
tween the suction cups in order to allow optimum
reception.
Performing a hard reset
You may occasionally need to reset your device, for
example if your device stops responding. You should
then perform a hard reset. To do this, slide the on/off
switch 6 on the bottom of the device to the OFF
position and then back to ON.
All programs which are running will be interrupted
here and the navigation system will restart.
