Opening the bottle

1. Place the foil knife on the neck of the bottle, wrap it around it and make several

full turns in both directions until it is completely cut off.

2. Place the electric corkscrew on the neck of the bottle. Make sure that the

corkscrew is in an upright position and exactly in the centre of the cork.

3. Press and hold the DOWN button to remove the cork from the bottle while

pushing the corkscrew upwards. After removing the cork, release the DOWN button

and remove the corkscrew from the bottle neck.

4. Remove the cork from the corkscrew by holding the UP button until the cork is

removed from the appliance.

Using an aerator

Insert the aerator firmly into the neck of the bottle and pour out the wine by tilting

the bottle down with the long side of the lug.

Using a pump and vacuum plug

1. Insert the vacuum stopper into the bottle. Turn the corkscrew over and place the

vacuum pump on the neck of the bottle with the cork strictly vertically, while

holding the vacuum stopper and bottle by the neck with the other hand.

2. Gently push the pump in several times to evacuate the air. The sound of air being

pumped out of the bottle will diminish as the vacuum is created.

3. Then turn the ring to the left or right on the outside of the cork to set the closing

date for an unfinished bottle of wine.

Safety precautions

Only use the appliance to open wine bottles. Do not use to open champagne

wines. Be careful when opening bottles of wine older than 15 years - the cork may

crack. Make sure that the power and voltage indicated on the mains adapter match

the power and voltage of your mains supply. Keep the appliance out of children's

reach. Do not place the corkscrew in water or other liquid. Avoid getting water on

the mains adapter. Do not try to speed up the opening of the bottle, do not pull on

the appliance. Do not touch any moving parts of the appliance. Hold the corkscrew
