USAGE
Safety precautions for using towables of CATEGORY:C1
To reduce the risk of injury or death, follow these guidelines:
a) Only use your towable with a responsible and experienced
watercraft driver.
b) If the towable is designed for more than one person, then the
riders are to take extra care to avoid contact with each other.
c) Never attempt jumps or dangerous tricks with your towable. To
avoid collisions, do not tow more than one towable at a time.
d) Teach anyone using the towable how to use the quick release
device (if any), how to attach it to the rope, how to ride it, and
how to maintain it.
e) Never strap or attach anyone to the towable or towable cover.
f) Never put your feet or hands through handles or through the
strapping of the towing rope attachment system.
g) Never wedge your feet or hands under the towable cover or
between the cover and the hull of the towable.
h) Remove debris or obstacles that might present a safety hazard
during recreational towing.
i) Towing or using these devices can be physically demanding.
Therefore you should know your own limits. Stop when you are
tired and act responsibly.
j) Check the towing rope and connectors for frays, cuts, sharp
edges, knots between the fixing fittings, or wear before each use.
Discard rope if any such condition exists or if rope appears to be
excessively worn. Such conditions may lead to rope breaks and
personal injury.
k) Use only ropes designed for towables.
10
I) Do not use tow lines with elastic components (bungee ropes).
In case of rupture or release under load (quick release
mechanism) such ropes result to a whiplash effect and may hurt
the users (rider) and boat occupants.
m) The observer has to advise other watercrafts with a towing
streamer/flag that towing is occurring and has to agree with the
users (riders) hand signals for communication under each other.
The communication signals are covered in this manual separately.
(see appendix SIGNALS).
n) The watercraft driver has overall responsibility for the safe
operation and use of the towable.
Preparation
Please do not drag the towable across the ground, otherwise the
shell may be damaged. If you ascent or climb in, the device
should have no contact with the ground or the bottom of the
water. Do not stand or jump on the product before inflation,
otherwise the drainage device may be damaged. The drainage
device can tear otherwise.
Wakeboard towers and tow points
Wakeboard towers are not designed for pulling towables. Do not
tow inflatables from ski pylons or ski eyes unless recommended
by the boat manufacturer. Tow pylons and ski eyes installed
aftermarket are not intended for towing inflatables. We assume no
liability for injuries or damages resulting from not following these
instructions.
