Mounting
To attach the swing arm you need a steel pipe with a diameter of 48 mm and a
wall thickness of at least 3 mm. The pipe must be solidly mounted to withstand
the forces involved. When in doubt, consult a professional.
If the winch is mounted at the outer end of the arm (75 cm), a maximum weight of
600 kg can be attached. Please observe this includes the weight of the winch.
1. Attach the lower hinge (3) with the counter pieces (4), four of the hex screws
(14), flat washers (10), spring washers (11) and nuts (12) to the steel tube.
Please bear in mind that the threated hole for securing the hinge pin should
be on the lower part of the hinge.
2. Align the hinge on the tube on the desired height of the swing arm before
tightening the screws. Please keep in mind that the height if the entire swing
arm assembly is 450 mm.
3. Attach the upper hinge (5) with the counter piece (6), two of the hex screws
(14), flat washers (10), spring washers (11) and nuts (12) to the steel tube.
Please bear in mind that the threated hole for securing the hinge pin should
be on the lower part of the hinge. The distance between both hinges assem-
blies should be 310 mm.
4. Tighten the bolts which secure the hinges to the tube with at least 93 Nm.
5. Insert the swing arm (1) into the lower hinge and slide the well-greased lower
hinge pin (7) through the hinge. Secure it with a hex bolt (16).
6. Now insert the larger hole of the swing arm support (2) into upper hinge and
secure the connection with the well-greased upper hinge pin (8). Secure the
pin with a hex screw (16).
7. Connect the swing arm support (2) to the swing arm (1). First insert the
reinforcing sleeve (15) into the swing arm at the front holes. The sleeve pre-
vents the force applied by the connecting screw from crushing the swing arm
tube.
