INSTALLATION
Installation examples
– In-duct installation
The element is mounted through simple insertion (e.g.
in spiral duct) and fixed to the wall together with the
ducting. Positioning outside of shaft walls is also pos­
sible. The installation is possible on both sides, regard­
less of the air flow direction.
Shaft penetration areas must be sealed with mortar
group II or III according to DIN 1053 for shaft walls
made of masonry according to DIN 1053 or concrete,
and with appropriate fillers or drywall construction over
the entire wall thickness for shaft walls in lightweight
construction with joint filling plaster and shaft walls
made of other materials.
– Wall installation
By means of mounting sleeves (type EH ..., Accesso­
ries) in walls made of masonry, aerated concrete or
gypsum boards, shaft partitions in F 90, F 60 and F
30... or system­tested walls more than 40 mm thick.
Installation is possible on both sides, regardless of the
air flow direction. The sleeve (Accessories) must be
screwed to the shaft wall at three points distributed
evenly over the circumference.
– Ceiling installation
Use as a ceiling penetration seal within the ceiling if a
free cross­section is not required.
