2. Safty instructions
Please observe the general drawing and explanations on the inner cover!
Before first use, piease fill in the serial number on the back cover.
1.
This machine can be operated safely only when the operating instructions have been completely read
and strictly observed to. It is recommended to receive practical instruction before using the machine for
the first time.
2.
Always inspect cable and plug before using the machine. Have damage repaired only by a qualified
professional.
3.
The machine must not be used when damp and must not be operated in wet environment.
4.
Use safety glasses, ear protectors, dust protection mask as weIl as wear
protective gloves and safety shoes.
5.
The machine may only be used for dry grinding and with dust exhaustion.
6.
Only use diamond cutting disks. They must fit correctly and must be able to rotate freely.
7.
Do not jolt or strike the cutting disk.
8.
Damaged or vibrating cutting tools must not be used.
9.
While operating hold the machine with both hands and ensure a safe stand (e. g. not on a ladder).
11.
Materials releasing noxious dust or steam during the work may not be treated (e. g. asbestos).
12.
The dust generated when working is detrimental to health: wear dust mask and protective goggles.
13.
Caution when cutting slots in structural walls (danger of collapse).
14.
Having exchanged the disks, please tighten strongly the quick-seal coupling (F) and close the flap lever (G).
15.
The decelerating cutting disks must not be braked.
16.
Insert plug in power supply socket only when machine is switched off. Application of extension cords:
Wind off the cable drum completely; a sufficient cable diameter is essential!
17.
Do not touch rotating cutting disks.
18.
Beware of electric lines, gas and water pipes embedded in walls.
19.
Use only genuine accessories.
Non-observance of the safety instructions and the prescriptions regarding the prevention of accidents will
occur the risk of injury!
3. Instructions for use
3.1 Before using the equipment
Consider the main voltage: The main voltage of the source of supply is the same that shown on the information
plate on the equipment.
3.2 Assembling of the diamond disks
Lay down the tool (the side with the arrow (K) up!) and open it by pressing the unlock of the trolley (D). Simul-
taneously, please hold up slightly which will prevent a springing up of the trolley. Lift up the flap lever (G) at the
quick-seal coupling (F) and unscrew the coupling counter-clockwise. Mount diamond disks (J) and distance
rings (H) on the main shaft according to the desired cutting width. Never tip 2 diamond disks without at least 1
distance ring in-between. It is in any case necessary to assemble each of the 4 distance rings.
Missing spacers will occur the risk of injury and damage the tool due to loose disks. Then tighten strongly quick-
seal coupling (F) by hand and close the flap lever (G). Operating with only one diamond disk is also possible.
Thickness of distance rings: 3-6-12-21 mm
Important! Pay attention to the direction of rotation! Position the arrow on the disk in the same
direction of rotation as indicated by the arrow (K) on the housing.
Please note: It might be a security risk when using disks which have not been approved by GÖLZ.
Risks of injury and damage of the tool may occur. In these cases we will not undertake any Iiability.
3.3 Disassembling the diamond disks
It is essential to remove the plug from the main socket!
Caution: After the cuttingt the diamond disks will possibly be very hot. Wear protectlve gloves!
Hold the disks, lift up the flap lever (G) at the quick-seal coupling (F) and release the quick-seal coupling.
