INTENDED USE
The product is intended for displaying the clock time and features an alarm function.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g.
in bathrooms, must be avoided under all circumstances.
Any use other than that described above could lead to this product being damaged
and involves the risk of short-circuiting, fire, electric shock, etc.
No part of the product may be modified or converted.
The safety instructions must be observed at all times.

NOTES ON BATTERIES AND RECHARGEABLE
BATTERIES

Batteries/rechargeable batteries do not belong in the hands of children.

Do not leave batteries/rechargeable batteries lying around; there is a risk of
them being swallowed by children or pets. If they are swallowed, consult a doctor
immediately.

Leaking or damaged batteries/rechargeable batteries in contact with the skin
can cause acid burns; therefore, use suitable safety gloves.

Batteries/rechargeable batteries must not be short-circuited, opened or thrown
into fire. There is a risk of explosion!

Do not recharge normal, non-rechargeable batteries; risk of explosion! Only re-
charge rechargeable batteries that are intended for this purpose; use a suitable
battery charger.

Make sure that the polarity is correct when inserting the battery/rechargeable
battery (pay attention to plus/+ and minus/-).

BACKGROUND LIGHT
Press and hold the SNOOZE & LIGHT button (3) in order to activate the background
light. When releasing the button, the background light turns off.

Remove the battery compartment cover (2) from the back of the device.
Insert a type AA battery observing correct polarity. Heed correct polarity as
indicated in the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment.
Replace the battery once the clock starts running late or the alarm signal starts
getting weaker.
The use of a rechargeable battery is possible. However, the lower operating
voltage (rechargeable battery = 1.2 V, battery 1.5 V) and lower capacity will
reduce the operating time.
Pull out the adjustment knob (1).
Turn the adjustment knob in direction of the arrow in order to adjust the clock
time.
The red hand indicates the seconds.
Push down the adjustment knob (1).
Turn the adjustment knob in direction of the arrow in order to adjust the alarm
time.
The grey hand indicates the alarm time. If you want the alarm to sound at
7:30 o'clock, the grey hand must be centered between the numbers 7 and 8.
Set the slide switch (4) to ON position in order to activate the alarm. The alarm
will sound at the pre-set time.
Once the alarm signal sounds, set the slide switch to OFF position to turn off
the alarm.
Press the SNOOZE & LIGHT button (3) to activate the snooze function. The alarm
will sound again after 4 minutes.
