SUPROshoulder
Intended use: orthosis to immobilise the shoulder joint in a fixed position.
Safety Advice
The product is single use and should only be used by one patient.
Should it be used for the treatment of more than one patient, the manufacturer's
product liability shall lapse in accordance with the Medical Devices Act.
Never apply the product to open wounds and only use under prior
medical instruction.
The patient may only adjust it in consultation with his/her treating doctor.
Should you experience excessive pain, swelling, numbness or
sensitivity changes, unusual reactions or an uncomfortable sensation
while wearing the SUPROshoulder, please contact your doctor or
orthopaedic technician immediately.
This orthosis was developed for the indications stated and may be damaged
through unusual and non-intended use or through activities such as sport,
falls or other accidents, as well as liquids.
Please consult your treating doctor before using it in conjunction
with another medical device.
Please observe the road transport law of your country.
Note: Not made with natural rubber latex.
How to Use
Place the shoulder strap around the neck – both ends should be equal in length (Fig. 1).
Place the front end of the strap around the wrist and fasten. Place the other end around the
lower arm and also fasten (Fig. 2-3).
Optional: Place the abdominal belt around the stomach and fasten. Attach the shoulder strap
to the abdominal belt using the attached hook pad. (Fig. 4-8). Attach upper arm strap to
abdominal belt (Fig. 9-10).
Cleaning and Care
Washing: wash strap and pad in the washing machine at 30°C
Drying: leave to dry naturally
